Welcome to Comins Coch School's Fair Trade Web Page!

  • Fairtrade is about people who support poor producers so that they can grow crops. They give the producers a fair price for their products. The Fair Trade distribute the goods to big companies such as Morrisons, Sainsburys, Asda, Co-op and Tesco. On all Fair Trade items you will find the Fair Trade logo so people can be sure the producers benefit the most. This way everyone gets fair play!

Our Fair Trade picnic

We were very pleased that our school council agreed to hold a Fair Trade picnic and football match in order to raise awareness of Fair Trade countries, workers and products. On Friday the 29th June 2007, the school council prepared a delicious selection of Fair Trade goods such as, oranges, bananas, apples, raisins, fruit juices and many more.

It was a lovely sunny day, and it was great to see the whole school gathered around the football pitch supporting class members competing in a friendly football match using our Fair Trade football. The event was a real success with everyone having had fun and having learnt an important lesson about Fair Trade. Parents, staff and pupils were all very supportive and are now very keen to support Fair Trade as a school and in our homes.

Fairtrade displays

We have created a display in the corridor so that all the children in the school and visitors to the school learn about fairtrade.
